As I look back to see the where I have come from and what I have observed on my safari, it has been a momentous distance travelled. It has awakened in me a keen interest in improving my pedagogy and the learning experiences that my Year 8 English students have in my classes.
After grappling with understanding what inquiry learning is initially, I did not think that English would lend itself to inquiry learning. I found that there is not a great deal of material which discusses teaching English in this way but enough to point the way forward.
